This is a very very sweet little 4 month old puppy. He LOVES people, other dogs, children, and is so very lovable. He already has learned to walk well on a leash. Needs someone to save him. LONG ANSWER:
A dog born in the USA may have been produced by Parents born in another country. The parents may have been registered in the USA or in Germany, France, United Kingdom, Japan or Mexico or anywhere...
Some people assume that dogs bred in one country are better than dogs bred in another country. More important is the genetic selections made by the breeder when deciding which dogs to breed. All breeders want to meet the breed standard. Different breeders may focus on different traits. For instance, someone that shows in AKC or FCI conformation events will focus on how closely the breeding pair is to the physical breed standard, and how well the pair complement each other's strengths and weaknesses. Someone that competes in Agility or Fly Ball will focus on how well the dogs work in those events. Someone that is competing in Schutzhund will focus on how well the dogs work in obedience, tracking and protection.
For the working breeds some people equate 'working lines' with 'German' or 'Czech' or 'French' lines. You will find both conformation show dogs and working dogs being bred in all countries.
EXTRA INFORMATION:
If you are looking for a dog you should figure out what you want to do with your dog: Family pet, running partner, hanging at the barn with your horse, conformation showing, couch potato. If you want a family pet, running partner, and you aren't looking for particular breed traits, then check out local rescues and shelters - save a life, get a mixed breed.
If you want a purebred, do some research, find out what breed will be the best for you and your family. Decide if you want an adult or a puppy. Then find the national breed club for your breed of choice. Or go to a local dog show. Find some local owners that can connect you with a breeder. Then find out what the breeder does with their dogs (besides breeding them to make money). You should definitely find a breeder that has a program and that does something with their dogs. If you are getting a registered purebred make sure that you see the registration papers of the parents. AKC limited registration on either parent means that that parent was judged to be 'not breed quality' by the original breeder and any puppies produced by that parent are not eligible to be registered with the AKC. An ethical person would not be breeding a limited registration dog nor selling the puppies from such a breeding. Find another breeder.
You should also know what health checks are recommended for your breed of choice and find out if the breeder is doing those tests. (And yes the tests can be expensive.) If not, find another breeder.
You should verify that the parents are not being bred before 24 months of age (by this time any health issues should show up so genetic problems are less likely to be a problem).
You should determine what support the breeder provides to his/her puppy owners (talk to other people who have gotten a puppy from the breeder).

From the start, she kept a clean kennel and is deffinately housetrained. She is a real sweetheart and gets along with most other dogs, especially younger ones.
We are all surprised that she did not get adopted when she came in, because she is full blood and gorgeous.

A permanent home is our goal but a foster home would be terrific, too. Fostering allows the dogs' personality to become clearer, so that we can better represent the dog when we post them. This girl could really use a break from the shelter, too.

Saxon was found as a stray and he nearly lost his life at the shelter! But, staff recognized that this boy was special; he was so appreciative of any time spent with him and calmer than most dogs his age and size. Saxon’s “wrinkles” on his face and his many “expressions” make him just too cute for words. When he looks up at you with those big brown eyes and he crinkles up his face, your heart will melt! This boy deserves a second chance at happiness and though he’s a big fellow, so is his heart! Single fawn colored male finch-offspring of above pair. $10. He has reached adulthood and is ready to mate but is a nuisance to his parents and needs to be placed with a mate of his own or another group of finches. His parents will not nest with him present-he pesters them too much! Definately male-sings courtship songs constantly. Plucky little guy. No cage comes with this one-bring your own.
Has a clean life cage that I bought new last fall. Great cage on stand with pull out tray-grill bottom-large easy open door and perches-toys-large feed/water cups I bought seperate. There's even a shelf at the bottom of the cage that holds a pile of newspapers and folded cover clothes for night. Cloths are included also! This is my sweet lovebird baby-I pulled him from the nest at 14 days and fed him by syringe. Horn colored beak and gray legs. Very VERY sweet! A MAJOR pet! Difficult to part with but I feel guilty leaving him caged most of the day as he requires attention to be happy. Also comes with table top playgym-it can sit easily on the top of his cage. We have far too many cats and with this cold season-even our dogs are inside now too. It flat out not safe for him indoors! He is currently unclipped but I can clip a wing for you if you wish. He likes to take baths in the kitchen sink and is happy to ride your shoulder about though he doesn't stay put on any one side but travels back and forth depending on the view. He was hatched in April 2009. His cage is like new-plus the very good accessories in like new condition and remaining food-night cloth to cover cage up-play gym and hand-fed-hand tame bird- his rehome fee is $150. FIRM.
